Michigan Home Energy Rebates Are Now Available!
We’re excited to share that the long-awaited IRA (Inflation Reduction Act of 2022) Home Energy Rebates are now available throughout the State of Michigan!
The Michigan Home Energy Rebates (MiHER) program offers substantial support to income-eligible residents looking to make energy-efficient improvements in their homes—such as insulation, air sealing, heat pumps, and more.
Depending on your household income, you may be eligible for:
Standard Rebates: Available to households earning between 81%–150% of the Area Median Income (AMI)
Enhanced Rebates: Available to households earning 80% or below the AMI
These rebates can significantly lower the cost of energy upgrades, making it easier for Michigan residents to improve their comfort, reduce utility bills, and contribute to a cleaner energy future.
Do You Qualify?
Residents earning below 150% of the Area Median Income (AMI) are eligible for financial assistance—and if you’re at or below 80% AMI, you could get all or most of your upgrades paid for! Not sure where you stand? Check your AMI here, or go right to the numbers. (If you go right to the numbers, look for your county and focus on the first grouping of numbers in the “income” section.)
