WHAT IS MIHER?
Michigan’s home energy rebate program
MiHER (Michigan Home Energy Rebates) is a federally funded state program that pays for home energy improvements for qualifying Michigan households. Depending on your income, upgrades can be covered up to 100% — no out-of-pocket cost to you.
As a certified MiHER contractor, GPG is authorized to conduct the required energy audit and complete the approved installations. You don't have to coordinate multiple vendors or chase the paperwork; we manage it all.

For most households under 80% AMI, yes — fully covered by the State of Michigan. If you're between 80–150% AMI, you may qualify for up to 50% back on eligible upgrades. Either way, we’ll help you understand what your household qualifies for before any work begins.

Yes. Renters may be eligible as long as the household meets income requirements and the landlord agrees to participate. Landlords benefit too — the property gets upgraded at little or no cost to them.
